If you're ready to up your coffee game, some simple arithmetic will come in handy.  Here's the equation:

perfect beans + the perfect roast + poor grinder/pre-ground beans = stale, bitter, sour tasting coffee.

Pre-ground coffee begins staling 10-15 minutes after you grind it.  By the end of 24 hours, you've lost a good chunk of all the deliciousness those beans had to oxidization!  A blade grinder is a step up, but it's not truly a grinder.  A blade "grinder" is a chopper, and as such it whips around the coffee beans reducing some to dust and others to pea sized chunks resulting in an uneven, inconsistent bitter/sour cup of coffee.

It seems crazy to some, but quality, burr grinders have always been a part of the American coffee experience.  Thankfully, you don't have to hand crank yours anymore (although we've been one rocking one at Ben's house now for months).  OQ is offering once again the Maestro Plus Burr grinder.

It features conical burrs and 40 individual grind setttings from medium-fine (drip, chemex, pour over) to coarse (French Press, percolator, stove-top espresso).  Those burrs are essential to making great coffee (remember the equation above?), and if you think about it, you're still paying less by brewing your coffee at home than if you were getting your cup of joe out!
