Decaf Peru Cajamarca CENFROCAFE - Fair Trade Organic

$12.99 - $55.99

This Fair Trade Organic (FTO) coffee comes from the cooperative (organized groups of farmers) called “CENFROCAFE” (you can visit their website here).  This large coop (about 2000 farmers) covers the several provinces of northern Peru; ours comes from Cajamarca.  This year, when CENFROCAFE received the coffee from its farmers, it chose the best 1-4 bags from each lot for our importer, Cafe Imports.  You can learn more about Cafe Imports relationship with CENFROCAFE by watching a video they have put together here.

If we haven't changed your mind about decaf yet, try this one.  It's doesn't have a dominating flavor, but is more a study of subtelty: soft nutty tones in the dry aroma that persist through the break and into the first few sips.  They gave way to a nice, soft, lemony brightness, and a buttery mouthfeel.  I could almost swear there are pear and kivu apples floating in the finish!  Be careful, though!  This is the kind of coffee you could drink by the gallon and not even be aware of it; thankfully, it's decaf.
